ಯುಗಳ ಗೀತೆ 

 

ಕೊಕ್ಕರೆಯದು

ತನ್ನ ಮನದನ್ನೆಯ

ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲು,

ಅದೇನೇನು ಮಾಡಿತೋ?

 

ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಜಿಗಿದು,

ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಗ್ಗಿ,

ಒಪ್ಪಿದ ಮೇಲೆ,

ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಮ್ಮೆಲೇ ಕೂಗಿ!

ಅಬ್ಬಬ್ಬಾ!

 

ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಸೇರಿದರೆ,

ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೇರೆಯಾಗದ,

ಕೊಕ್ಕರೆಯ ಬಲು

ಜೋಡಿಯದು!

ಕೊಕ್ಕರೆಯ ಮೇಳಗೀತವದು.

The duet

The sarus crane...

To make his sweetheart agree,
What did he do, can you see?

​

Once he soared high,
Then turned low, fluttering his wings.
She finally agreed,
And they sang in harmony!

"Ah, how sweet!"

Once united, they never part.
Their dance, a work of heart!
Their song, a sacred art!
